Well doing a degree on it I suppose I ought to a livejournal entry on teh Conservative leadership election!
Scanning the tabloids fronts incidentally while queuing to buy some Milk two were claiming of having pictures of Cameron taking cocaine with a Hooker (I had no idea he knew Paris Hilton badda-bing) and the Mail was urging people to forgive him for drugs (how very hypocritical, if it had been a labour minister...). Judging by this, even if there is no substance to the claims I feel Cameron is doomed short of Jesus proclaiming his support for him, or indeed Yoda.
David Davis will be just like Howard, except with less of the blood-sucking and more of the gung-ho action hero. Whether this will work for him or against him I do not know. Kenneth Clark is probably looking smug right now, but then again is he popular enough? i can't help feeling htat the public will want a raving right wing lunatic and will therefor go for David Davis. I also think that had Boris Johnson stood he would have won very easily, and would quickly have blundered and resigned.
Of course my bets are on some kind of electoral blunder and Ian Duncan Smith being voted in again.

Seriously, though, I don't think the Conservatives are going to find the leader they need this time around.
